20th Seiyu Awards Announces Early Winners: Shinichiro Kamio, Rei Sakuma, and MYAKU MYAKU Voice Actor Honored
The 20th Seiyu Awards has announced some of its winners ahead of the official ceremony on March 15. As the largest annual event in the Japanese voice acting industry, the awards recognize outstanding achievements by voice actors across a wide range of fields.

Merit Award and Special Honors Revealed
The Merit Award, presented to voice actors who have contributed for many years across numerous genres including foreign language films, overseas dramas, and animated works, was awarded to Aruno Tahara and Keiko Yokozawa.

The Synergy Award, given to a work that maximized the appeal and talents of its voice cast, went to The Idolmaster series.
The Kei Tomiyama and Kazue Takahashi Award, which honors voice actors who have been active in various fields including notable roles in specific works, was presented to Shinichiro Kamio and Rei Sakuma.

In addition, the Special Award, granted to voice actors, works, or activities that do not fall into existing categories but deserve recognition for exceptional achievements, was awarded to Nami Mizuno, who voices MYAKU MYAKU, the official character of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.

The Seiyu Awards has been held every March since 2007. It brings together the most active, popular, and talented voice actors of the year alongside veteran performers who have made long lasting contributions to the industry, making it the largest celebration in the Japanese voice acting world.
