Voice Actor Kenichi Suzumura to Take Temporary Hiatus After Adjustment Disorder Diagnosis

Kenichi Suzumura, a renowned Japanese voice actor, will take a temporary hiatus after being diagnosed with adjustment disorder, according to an official statement released on the website of his agency, Intention.

On the 12th, Intention posted a notice titled “Regarding Kenichi Suzumura’s Hiatus,” expressing gratitude for the continued support from fans. The statement explained that Suzumura had been experiencing ongoing health issues and was subsequently diagnosed with adjustment disorder by a physician. Based on medical advice, he will focus on rest and recovery for the time being.

The agency added that his recovery will be the top priority, and any updates regarding his return to activities will be announced at a later date. It also offered a sincere apology to fans and related parties for the concern and inconvenience caused.

Suzumura had previously announced a hiatus in May 2024 due to health issues and later resumed activities in July 2024.
