Witch Hat Atelier Episode 10 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Tartah Tends to a Sick Coco, But...

The story and preview images for Episode 10 of the TV anime Witch Hat Atelier (JP: とんがり帽子のアトリエ) have been revealed. This episode will air in Japan on Friday, June 8 at 11:00 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 10 Story

Qifrey and Tartah take Coco to the hospital after she falls ill. Tartah harbors doubts about Qifrey's recent words and actions and attempts to question him, but Qifrey evades the topic. Amidst this, Tartah learns that Coco became Qifrey's apprentice despite being an "Unknowant" (one of the uninitiated). Overlapping her situation with his own condition of having "silverwash disease," Tartah harbors complex feelings. That night, while Qifrey is occupied with emergency rescue efforts for a fire that broke out in the city, Coco's condition worsens. To save her, Tartah must search the medicine storehouse for a specific remedy that is difficult to distinguish by any means other than color.

"Magic"—it is crucial for people to live an abundant life—a handy miracle.
However, witches are the only ones who can cast magic,
and they must not be seen by ordinary people when casting.
That is the rule of this world.

Yet, Coco, a young girl living in a small village helping her mother with daily chores,
has always dreamed of becoming a witch since childhood.

One day, when a young witch named Qifery visits the village,
Coco secretly watches him using magic and uncovers a great secret.

It was the "absolute secret" that the witches kept from the world,
that anyone could use magic if they draw a Casting Seal with special tools. Born as an Outsider,
Coco becomes Qifery's apprentice and begins studying magic.
As she learns and grows together with her fellow apprentices in the atelier,
she gradually steps into the secretive world of witches.

This is the story of children who encounter despair, yet reach out toward hope.
