Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky Reveals New Key Visual Ahead of July Premiere
A new key visual has been unveiled for the upcoming TV anime Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky, which is set to premiere on July 6, 2026 in Japan. The series is based on the award winning novel of the same name, which received the Grand Prize at the 15th GA Bunko Awards and tells a heartfelt love story between protagonist Kakeru Sorano and the blind heroine Koharu Fuyutsuki.

The original novel, written by Nanigashi Shima, follows the relationship between the shy university student Kakeru Sorano and Koharu Fuyutsuki, a young woman with a visual impairment. Through delicate storytelling and emotional character development, the novel depicts how the two gradually grow closer and find light in one another. The work was highly acclaimed, ranking No. 3 in the General New Titles category of Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024, and later received a live action television adaptation that aired in Japan in December 2025.

The anime stars Miyu Irino as Kakeru Sorano and Saori Hayami as Koharu Fuyutsuki. Additional cast members include Konomi Kohara as Yuko Hayase and Yohei Azakami as Ushio Narumi. The series is animated by MAKARIA and directed by Joe Yoshizaki, with series composition by Yuko Kakihara.
New Visual Symbolizes a Love That Feels Within Reach Yet Remains Distant
The newly released visual portrays Koharu and Kakeru in an inverted composition. Set within a translucent and serene space, the two lie opposite one another with only a slight distance separating them.
Kakeru gazes toward Koharu, while Koharu reaches out her hand in his direction. Soft lighting and a calm visual atmosphere emphasize the emotional subtlety that defines the story. The artwork beautifully captures the theme at the heart of the series: two people who feel close enough to touch, yet remain just beyond each other's reach.
Wrapped in gentle light and stillness, the visual expresses the fragile emotions and quiet longing that shape Kakeru and Koharu’s relationship, offering a glimpse into the tender romance that awaits viewers this summer.
The anime will begin broadcasting on Japanese television stations on July 6, 2026, with streaming releases on international platforms planned afterward.
