Life Size Golden Kenshiro Statue from Fist of the North Star Debuts in Japan, Priced at 44 million yen (about US$276,000)
The statue was created by SGC, the company organizing the exhibition. It stands approximately 1.93 meters tall and uses around 1,500 sheets of gold leaf to recreate Kenshiro, the protagonist who survives in a devastated post apocalyptic world. The reference price is 44 million yen.

Fist of the North Star Celebrates Kenshiro’s Presence in Gold
Fist of the North Star began serialization in 1983 and has surpassed 100 million copies in worldwide circulation. The golden statue is said to recreate Kenshiro’s quiet fighting spirit and commanding presence as a practitioner of Hokuto Shinken through the distinctive brilliance of gold leaf.
At the venue, a pure gold figure of Kenshiro titled K24 Fist of the North Star Kenshiro will also be sold. The figure stands 11 centimeters tall, weighs 60 grams, and is scheduled to be priced at 5.368 million yen (approximately US$33,700).

The Great Gold Exhibition runs from June 3 to June 8. In addition to the golden statue, the venue will feature more than 1,000 gold items, including Buddhist altar fittings and statues made by Living National Treasures, large and small traditional gold coins, tableware, and lucky charms. Free appraisals and cash purchases of precious metals brought in by visitors will also be available.
