KADOKAWA World Manga Contest Winners Announced: Gold Prizes Go to Creators from Vietnam and Taiwan, Reflecting Strong Respect for Japanese Style Manga
KADOKAWA World Manga Contest has announced its award winning works, with Gold Prize honors going to creators from Vietnam and Taiwan. The international competition received 1,959 submissions from 118 countries and regions, highlighting the growing global passion for Japanese style manga.

Gold Prize Winners Revealed
In the Manga Category, the Gold Prize was awarded to "Cry or the witch will come" by Vietnam based creator Syo.Era. In the Wordless Manga Category, the Gold Prize went to "Cells Within the Body." by Taiwan based creator Eli Lin.

Cells Within the Body. — Eli Lin
The contest was launched to provide creative opportunities for artists around the world and to foster the creation of new intellectual properties. It serves as an expanded version of the previous Wordless Manga Contest held in 2024 and 2025, surpassing the earlier event's 1,126 submissions from 104 countries and regions.
Expanded Competition Categories

Deus Sniper — Shinamori
In addition to the existing Wordless Manga Category for dialogue free works, KADOKAWA introduced a new Manga Category for works featuring dialogue in five languages: Japanese, English, Spanish, French, and Traditional Chinese.
Following evaluations by KADOKAWA's manga editorial departments, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Prize winners were selected in each category. Five additional works received Encouragement Awards in recognition of their future potential.
