The story follows Nagi Taira, the strongest assassin, who loses consciousness after protecting his younger sister from a bullet. The condition for his awakening is that someone directs “intent to kill” toward him. Believing that “extraordinary bloodlust” will fully awaken Nagi, his younger sister Sizuka Taira begins a brutal form of “rehabilitation” by taking her brother into battles against powerful enemies.

Koki Uchiyama Comment as Nagi Taira

Koki Uchiyama as Nagi Taira
Koki Uchiyama said he was surprised by Nagi Taira’s nature, as the character is usually unconscious but awakens when someone directs murderous intent toward him.
“TANK CHAIR is an anime packed tightly with passionate character drama and battle action full of various gimmicks. The recording method is not after recording but prescoring every time, and all of the cast members are approaching it with incredible focus and energy. I hope many people will watch it.”
Minori Fujidera Comment as Sizuka Taira

Minori Fujidera as Sizuka Taira
Minori Fujidera, who plays Sizuka Taira, said, “I am Minori Fujidera, and I will be playing Sizuka Taira.”
She described Sizuka as a straightforward girl who will not hesitate to put herself in danger if it means helping her older brother Nagi fully awaken.
“Just thinking about what it would be like if I were in the same situation as Sizuka makes my heart skip because of the heavy burden she carries. Even so, whenever I touch upon her carefree demeanor or the inner feelings she reveals in sudden moments, I find myself thinking how lovable she is.”
Fujidera also said that, while she was conscious of not missing a single line of the wonderful senior cast members’ performances, she was able to record with people full of love for the work and gave everything she had to portray Sizuka.
“I am deeply drawn to the strength that comes from how everyone who appears in the story is somehow awkward and incomplete. The action that is unique to TANK CHAIR is also full of appeal. I would be very happy if you look forward to the broadcast.”
Gakuto Kajiwara Comment as Naozumi Kurosaka

Gakuto Kajiwara as Naozumi Kurosaka
Gakuto Kajiwara, who plays Naozumi Kurosaka, said, “I am Gakuto Kajiwara, and I will be playing Naozumi Kurosaka.”
He described Naozumi as Touko’s older brother, someone who lives each day covered in anguish, anger, and pain.
“When I play Naozumi, I squeeze out every negative part of myself and approach the role with a heart that feels almost dried up. Because of that, performing him is very exhausting in a good way. But I think that is exactly why so many deep parts of him are packed into the role.”
Kajiwara also noted that the production uses a prescoring recording style.
“Because of that, we are able to perform with great freedom while the actors are entrusted with the roles. I am fighting with all my life while letting my emotions explode, so please support TANK CHAIR.”
Saori Hayami Comment as Touko Kurosaka

Saori Hayami as Touko Kurosaka
Saori Hayami said that the Kurosaka siblings depict another story in contrast to the Taira siblings.
She described Touko, the younger sister, as a strong person who always thinks of her older brother Naozumi and has the resolve to protect him.
“During recording as well, I approach the role while carefully valuing the deep bond the siblings have built together. Actually, during the audition, the script only had ‘shoo,’ ‘shoo,’ and ‘shoo,’ so I was quite surprised.”
Hayami also said that the main recording is conducted in a prescoring format, in which the voice exchanges are recorded in advance.
“I was nervous about entering a new world, but now I am savoring its depth and enjoying it with a good sense of tension. The coolness of the original manga, its fast paced battles, and each character’s story are portrayed carefully in the anime as well. I think it has become a video work with a very strong impact. Please look forward to it.”
