Tamagotchi Paradise Apologizes for Bug When Tamagotchi Dies at Age 256 or Older

Tamagotchi Paradise has confirmed a bug affecting Tamagotchi characters that die at age 256 or older, according to an update posted on the official Tamagotchi website on May 20.

Bug Confirmed for Long Lived Tamagotchi

The website explained that in Tamagotchi Paradise, when a Tamagotchi that has grown to age 30 or older dies, special features are normally triggered. These include a special “long life” animation, a special display on the “View the Stars” screen, and a one time rescue animation if the Tamagotchi currently being raised is near death.

However, the company confirmed that when a Tamagotchi dies after reaching certain age ranges from 256 or older, several issues may occur. The age may not display correctly, the special display on the “View the Stars” screen may not appear, and the one time rescue animation may not trigger.

The age display issue occurs from age 256 onward. The other two issues occur in the age ranges of 256 to 285, 512 to 541, and 768 to 797.

Official Apology

The site apologized, stating that despite players spending a long time raising their Tamagotchi with care and affection, the bug had resulted in an experience that failed to meet expectations.

The company also stated that there are currently no plans to offer exchanges for this issue, and again apologized for the inconvenience caused to customers.

The website also includes images explaining the conditions under which the bug occurs.
