The opening theme, “Hitotarashi,” already marked a first in Kuwata’s career as a fully original anime theme song written and composed by himself. With this latest announcement, he sets yet another milestone by also handling the ending theme under the same conditions.

New Song “AKANE On My Mind: Manju Kowai” Revealed

The ending theme, titled “AKANE On My Mind: Manju Kowai,” is a completely original composition. The track begins with a catchy and upbeat intro featuring a repeating guitar riff intertwined with powerful saxophone lines.

Its bright and laid back lyrics, combined with Kuwata’s rich and expansive vocals, create a pop song filled with positive energy that feels as if it gently encourages listeners forward. As suggested by the title, the song includes references to the protagonist Akane Osaki, making it a piece filled with Kuwata’s deep respect and affection for the series.
