Episode 1 Story

Nao Kanzaki is a college student so famously honest that people call her "Naive Nao." Her integrity is such that she would even take a single 100-yen coin to a police box. One day, an anonymous package arrives at her doorstep. Inside is an invitation to the "Liar Game" along with 100 million yen in cash.

The rule of the Liar Game is simple: steal the money from your opponent by any means necessary. There is no right of refusal, and losing the game results in a debt of 100 million yen. Terrified by the nightmarish terms, Nao seeks help, but she is ignored by lawyers and unable to consult the police.

Eventually, the name of her opponent is delivered to the despondent Nao. It is Kazuo Fujisawa, her former middle school teacher. Relieved to reunite with the once-kind Fujisawa, Nao takes comfort in his words and entrusts him with the 100 million yen.
