You and Idol Pretty Cure Episode 23 Story & Preview Stills Released: Uta and the Others Create Their Signature!

Episode 23 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (Kimi to Idol Prett Cure, キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. This Episode will air on Sunday, July 13, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode 23 Story

Uta (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) and her friends gather at Tanaka’s house, where Tanaka asks them for a favor. He wants them to autograph posters of Idol Pretty Cure and Zukyoon Kiss as gifts for their fans. However, Uta, Nana (voiced by Minami Takahashi), and the others realize they haven’t thought about their own signatures.

Kokoro (voiced by Natsumi Takamori), the only one who had anticipated this moment, unveils a signature she had designed using Kaito Hibiki's autograph as inspiration. Just then, breaking news arrives announcing Kaito’s return to the entertainment world. To make matters more intense, fans—known as “Kai-tomo”—who deduced from a video that Kaito frequents Café Glitter, begin to flood the location.

Later in the evening, once the café has settled down, Tanaka receives another message—this time from Pretty Holic. It’s a television appearance request, asking Cure Idol to feature in a segment of a popular information program.

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
